The Geological Marvel

Enchanted Rock is a geological marvel with a history that extends back for thousands of years. Formed over a billion years ago from magma, this ancient granite pluton has drawn visitors for centuries. Early Native American tribes would gather for sacred ceremonies, and Spanish explorers and settlers left their mark on the landscape as they passed through.

Today, it stands as a reminder of the Earth's ancient past, inviting adventurers to explore its slopes and take in the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape. Here are just a few of our favorite things to do while visiting the area:

For a less strenuous experience, the Loop Trail encircles the base of the rock, providing a tour of the park's diverse ecosystems.
